K 213.10 - SUNRISE ON THE MOON

Have you ever wondered what Earthrise looks like from the moon? Modern spacecraft allow everyone to see this phenomenon recorded, and the Cosmos masters have recreated the moonrise using the technique of lacquered miniatures. Several layers of varnish and paint were applied to the base, alternating to create volume and a sense of dynamism. A thin sheet of silver foil was used to convey the heterogeneity of the lunar soil. The rich blue colour of the background represents the vastness of space and serves as a backdrop for the scattering of bright stars. The details are added gradually with the finest of brushes: up to 50 hours of work is required for a single subject. The process of baking the miniature in a special oven gives the drawing the necessary lustre and completeness. The watch is made in a single piece. The watch is equipped with a TMI automatic movement. In addition to the hours, minutes and seconds, it also displays the date and day of the week. You'll find the date and day indicator at 3 o'clock, highlighted by an applied frame. The movement can be observed by turning the watch upside down: the caseback is transparent and fixed with 4 screws.  The hour and minute hands are coated with a luminous material that glows in the dark. The model features a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The bracelet is made up of polished steel links, the comfortable and secure clip clasp is decorated with the KOCMOC brand logo.
