The brand's limited edition was named Lunokhod in honor of successful russian missions to explore Earth's natural satellite. On November 10, 1970, a carried rocket was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, which a week later delivered a guided robotic rover to the surface of the Moon. This event became a sensation worldwide: for the first time, a human-made vehicle began exploring, leaving its mark on the surface of another planet. The Lunokhod traveled more than ten kilometers, collecting information about the characteristics of the lunar soil, its chemical composition, and properties. It transmitted 20,000 images of the surface, giving scientists an idea of ​​its appearance. Now, the recognizable relief with numerous craters, sea borders, and waves of solidified lava adorns the dial of the Lunokhod watch. The three-dimensional white dial has two levels. The center of the first (with imitation of the lunar surface) features large hour and minute hands with a luminescent coating. The second level is decorated with circular brushing and indexes that, like the hands, are easily readable even in the dark. A dual date and day indicator is located at 3 o'clock (the current day of the week can be displayed in two languages, Russian and English). The special feature of the K 073.40.33 model is its convex sapphire crystal, which is curved not only on the outside, but also on the inside. This shape prevents distortion of data on the dial. The technology for producing convex crystal is quite complex. The sharpening machine must be extremely precise, otherwise the piece could crack during production. The design of the convex crystal evokes the watches of the past, emphasizing the elegance of retro style. The TMI automatic movement is housed in a round stainless steel case with a diameter of 43 mm. It consists of three parts decorated with a rose gold PVD coating, mirror polishing and brushing. The transparent case back is engraved with basic information about the case material (stainless steel), glass (sapphire crystal) and water resistance (5 atmospheres). Here you can also find the individual model number, where the first number indicates the serial number, and the second indicates the quantity of watches in the series. The crown and clasp are adorned with the brand logo. The watch bracelet is made of cast steel links. The secure design of the clip clasp, also made of steel, provides two easy to use side buttons.
