Sputnik 1, a small device only 58 centimetres in diameter, was nevertheless an important milestone in the conquest of space. It was launched in the autumn of 1957 and started the space competition.In honour of this event, a limited edition watch called Sputnik was created. The outline of the spacecraft can be seen on the watch's skeleton dial.
A Seiko automatic movement is housed in an unusually shaped case made of hypoallergenic stainless steel. The transparent caseback is securely fastened with four screws. It also displays the individual model number in xx/50 format. The dial is decorated with a combination of different types of polishing and a special aperture that allows you to admire the harmonious workings of the movement's components. It is framed by decorative elements referring to the Sputnik antennas. The large hour and minute hands with luminescent coating are clearly visible on the background. The green dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, which retains its transparency for a long time and is resistant to micro-scratches. Water resistance is 10 atmospheres. The case is complemented by a cast stainless steel bracelet and a butterfly clasp with two side buttons.
The brand's logo adorns the crown and buckle.
