What colour is the moon? Is it pale yellow, red or, perhaps in its most romantic variation, pink? Our natural satellite is known to only reflect light, so the change in hue is due to the scattering of light in the atmosphere. But even understanding the nature of this phenomenon does not prevent us from admiring the full disc of the moon in the night sky or on the dial of a Unique Watch. In the subject of the lacquered miniature, the saturated hue of the moon, which has been called honey, strawberry or flower at different times, is immediately striking. A thin sheet of foil at the base of the drawing allows the texture of the lunar surface to be conveyed. The artist uses the finest brush to draw other figures, white herons. In many cultures, this bird is a symbol of purity and tranquillity.
The process of gradually drawing the details of a lacquer miniature is a long one. A single subject can take the artist up to 50 hours to complete. The miniature is then baked in a special oven, which gives the drawing the necessary lustre and makes it complete.

The watch is equipped with a TMI automatic movement. In addition to the hours, minutes and seconds, it also displays the date and day of the week. You'll find the date and day indicator at 3 o'clock, highlighted by an applied frame. The movement can be observed by turning the watch upside down: the caseback is transparent. The hour and minute hands are coated with a luminous material that glows in the dark.The mineral crystal is convex on both sides, using technology typical of the 1960s and 70s.The watch is set on a genuine leather strap with stitching that prolongs its life. The steel buckle clasp is decorated with the brand logo.
